SkyWest Aviation started in 1990 as a registered flight training facility, providing a professional quality service to clients whilst operating in strict accordance with the Irish Aviation Authority standards. They have three bases, Weston Airport, Dublin, Cork Airport and Newscastle Airfield, Co. Wicklow
Being focused on creating a positive learning environment, each student is treated as an individual and their learning requirements are catered for at all times.
The following training programs are currently available at SkyWest
(a) PPL Introductory Flights
(b) PPL Flying Tuition
(c) PPL Ground School
(d) Flight Safety Program
The flying school is open 7 days a week, and flying takes place during daylight hours only.
All flying lessons and pleasure flights need to be booked in advance. Weekends are the busiest time, so please try to book at least 2 weeks in advance for Saturday and Sunday flights to avoid disappointment.
Newcastle Airfield is located 20kms south of Dublin on the main Dublin – Wexford road.
• Take any exit for Newcastle from the N11 (Dublin - Wexford road)
• As you come into Newcastle take the Sea Road ( well signposted) for approx. two miles.
• Entrance to the airfield is on the left hand side and is well signposted
